Was I ever excited to get my hands on this beautiful old Dominion stove. It's not very often to find this kind of craftsmanship in anything made these days. This workhorse was definitely in need of repair and some elbow grease. I love to imagine a family sitting around the stove in the winter to keep warm through a blistery Saskatchewan winter.

In order to get in all the nooks and crannies I had to fully dismantle the stove and really focus on each piece individually. It was an arduous process, but as I saw progress on each piece I knew the final product would be spectacular. I had to glassbead and sandblast many of the parts and dip others depending on the make-up of each individual piece. Many of the trim pieces with original plating was long gone.

I couldn't be happier with the results. Most of the original nickel plate pieces that were left shined up nicely, The rest was sanded and clearcoated, The rest was finished as per the owners instructions and taste. Not only can this stove be put back to work, it can be a stunning focal point in any household.
