This pistol grip leather slitting tool draw gauge is an exquisite piece crafted by C. S. Osborne of Newark, N.J., and patented in the 1870s. Made of durable steel, it is designed to cut or slit leather into precise strips and belts, embodying the superior craftsmanship of its era.  This tool is in good, unbroken condition, as shown in the photos.
